About This Site
My name is Mike Foster. I live in the suburbs of Seattle with a lovely wife named Becky and a baby boy named Sam.
Originally, I bought this domain name with designs on making a self-deprecating site about how I "keep it real" despite living a very safe, comfortable and quiet life. Hopefully I can keep this spirit alive in some of the pictures and posts I stick up.
Much like Vanilla Ice, I grew up on the streets of the ghetto. If by streets you mean churches. And if by ghetto, you mean Boise, ID (and various small NW towns). I went to school at Willamette University from 1995-1999 and graduated with a B.S. in Music and Computer Science. I refuse to give them any more money until I'm done paying student loans. My family refuses to give them any more money because "that's where Mike became A Liberal".
Since college, I've been working in software. I spent 6 years at BEA Systems in San Francisco and Seattle, doing various things. Most of those things involved embarrasing myself at corporate functions. I started as a Program Manager at Expedia.com at the beginning of 2006.
I love me some Seattle sports, pudding pops V2.0, and February sweeps.
