Boat Processes
I know most of these are obvious, but it will help me to type and print them out, and it can serve as a place to point to for people borrowing the boat. When it comes to this stuff, routine is everything. Order matters below.
Pickup
- On Hitch (Padlock, Criss-Cross Chains, Wheel Up, Electric)
- Take Cover Off (Garage)
- Pack and Tie Down Tubes, Jackets, etc.
- Remove Wheel Stops (Garage)
- Move Parking Pass Into "Rig" from Boat Glove Compartment
- Grab Plug from Boat Glove Compartment
Pre-Launch
- Remove Tie Downs, Put in Boat
- Put in Plug
- Attach Fenders and Dock Lines to Dock Side of Boat
Launch
- Hold Dock Lines and Put Boat in Water
- Unhook Winch and Chain
- Move Boat off Trailer, and Tie Up to Dock
- Park "Rig"
- Trim Down
- Start Engine (Pull Throttle Out to Left, Turn Key, Gas)
Load
- Move Dock Lines and Fenders to Dock Side of Boat
- Tie Up to Dock, Engine Off
- Trim Up
- Back "Rig" Up on Launch
- Using Dock Lines, Pull Boat Onto Trailer
- Winch Boat Up, Attach Safety Chain
- Pull Out To Tie Down Area
Tie-Down Area
- Attach Tie-Downs
- Remove Plug
- Put Plug and Parking Pass in Boat Glove Box
Drop Off
- Put Wheel Stops in Place
- Unhook Boat from Hitch (Wheel Down and Rolled Up to Level Trailer)
- Remove Wet Items From Boat
- Put Cover and Post On
