Boat Processes

I know most of these are obvious, but it will help me to type and print them out, and it can serve as a place to point to for people borrowing the boat. When it comes to this stuff, routine is everything. Order matters below.

Pickup

  • On Hitch (Padlock, Criss-Cross Chains, Wheel Up, Electric)
  • Take Cover Off (Garage)
  • Pack and Tie Down Tubes, Jackets, etc.
  • Remove Wheel Stops (Garage)
  • Move Parking Pass Into "Rig" from Boat Glove Compartment
  • Grab Plug from Boat Glove Compartment

Pre-Launch

  • Remove Tie Downs, Put in Boat
  • Put in Plug
  • Attach Fenders and Dock Lines to Dock Side of Boat

Launch

  • Hold Dock Lines and Put Boat in Water
  • Unhook Winch and Chain
  • Move Boat off Trailer, and Tie Up to Dock
  • Park "Rig"
  • Trim Down
  • Start Engine (Pull Throttle Out to Left, Turn Key, Gas)

Load

  • Move Dock Lines and Fenders to Dock Side of Boat
  • Tie Up to Dock, Engine Off
  • Trim Up
  • Back "Rig" Up on Launch
  • Using Dock Lines, Pull Boat Onto Trailer
  • Winch Boat Up, Attach Safety Chain
  • Pull Out To Tie Down Area

Tie-Down Area

  • Attach Tie-Downs
  • Remove Plug
  • Put Plug and Parking Pass in Boat Glove Box

Drop Off

  • Put Wheel Stops in Place
  • Unhook Boat from Hitch (Wheel Down and Rolled Up to Level Trailer)
  • Remove Wet Items From Boat
  • Put Cover and Post On
